Equity Analyst | Listed Property

One of New Zealand's high profile fund managers is seeking to add expertise to their investments team. Working closely with the Portfolio Manager, the key focus for this position will include undertaking research of listed Property and Infrastructure companies across New Zealand and Australia to support the portfolio construction process for all appropriate portfolios.

The Role

• Work closely with the equities team to deliver outperformance across listed property funds
• Researching up to 80 listed property and infrastructure opportunities in both Australia and New Zealand
• Undertake fundamental research into allocated sectors 
• Support equities portfolio construction process with respect to sector specific and security research recommendations
• Undertake security valuations by developing asset, yield and cashflow based valuation models including comparable stock analysis
• Visiting Company operations, meeting with company boards and management in New Zealand and Australia

About You

• A minimum of three years related experience in funds management or sell-side institutional equity research is preferred. However, our client is also open to considering candidates with experience in investment banking, corporate finance/deals advisory or property investments.
• An interest in property and infrastructure sectors
• Strong financial modelling abilities with knowledge of valuation techniques
• An interest in investing and fundamental research
• An ability to operate effectively in a close knit team of dedicated specialists
• CFA qualification (or part) is preferred
