AP/AR Assistant - 6 Month Contract

My client is looking for a suitably experienced individual to assist with the Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable function in their organisation.

The role will be accountable for the accuracy of financial data, reliability of the Groups transactions and assistance with key finance functions and processes.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Accounts Receivable - maintenance of the receivables ledger
  • Daily receipt and allocation of payments received
  • Accounts Payable - input of all creditors invoices for payment
  • Management of purchase orders and matching of invoices
  • General bookkeeping duties in Xero
  • Daily reconciliation of bank transactions in Xero
  • Assist with month end reconciliation of accounts in Xero.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate records and filing systems.
Key requirements for the position:
  • Previous accounts receivable/accounts payable or general accounting experience
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting software. Experience with Xero preferred
  • An understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting skills.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge and skills.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • High degree of attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written
